Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Kirigami™ Mixed Columbines are easy-to-grow delicate-looking perennials with an iron-clad nature. Thriving throughout USDA hardiness zones 4 to 9, they are both heat-tolerant and cold-hardy plants!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Easy-to-grow Aquilegia appreciates sunny locations in cooler climates and partially shaded locations in hotter growing zones. Provide a well-drained, well-mulched planting site with rich organic soil. They do best with moderately moist soil and water access during hot and sunny summers. The foliage may die back in the extreme summer heat but keep them watered and mulched and these tough perennials will regrow from their roots anew each spring.

Deadhead after the flowers fade or allow them to naturalize and drop their seed for new plants. In the late fall after frost, hard prune the plants back to the ground and remove any remaining foliage and debris. Top-dress with a layer of mulch or compost for the winter and water them in well before the ground freezes.

  • Full Sun or Partial Shade
  • Rich Well-Drained Soil
  • Regular Moderate Moisture
  • Deadhead After Bloom & Prune Back Late Fall
  • Deer Are Usually Not An Issue
