Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

This tidy perennial comes back year after year and produces a neat clump of aromatic foliage with stiff, well-branched stems. Watch as the tall spires elongate and the deep purplish-red buds open into that noteworthy dark pink shade!

Planting and Application:

Jazz up your outdoor spaces with their charming form and charismatic color. This special Salvia partners beautifully with other sun-garden plants as varied as sophisticated Roses to rustic Daisies and elongated Allium! These nectar-rich plants make terrific additions to Butterfly and Pollinator Gardens. The blooms will be abuzz with life all day, every day! Cut flower gardens and Cottage borders bring you armloads of showy flowers for bouquets! Snip the flower spires regularly for cut flower arrangements, and you'll actually encourage additional rebloom!

Use plenty in a dramatic drift or ribbon of bright color near the front of your garden borders. En mass plantings make you look like a pro with their low-maintenance and easy-going nature! Fill large areas in dramatic color and don't worry about them struggling in the sun or poor soil.

Imagine a formal line of these straight growing bunches growing along your driveway, that hell strip along the roadside, or defining your garden beds! The color of this Salvia is head-turning!

  • Fuchsia Pink Tall Flower Spikes
  • Dark Green Aromatic Leaves
  • Pollinator & Hummingbird Heaven
  • Dramatic Cut Flower Bouquets
  • Showy Beds & Borders, Container Thrillers, Edging & En Masse

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Perennial Sage flowers best in the full sun, with at least six hours of sunlight a day. Give them well-drained soil or keep them in patio pots or raised beds if you need to improve drainage. Provide moderate moisture their first year in the ground, but once established, these herbaceous perennials are very easy, fast-growing, and drought tolerant.

Adding Nature Hills Root Booster during planting provides life-long support, and 3-4 inches of arborist mulch around your plants, especially when planted in harsh conditions to better retain soil moisture and insulate the roots from heat and cold.

So easy to grow and very low maintenance! Deadhead or cut back after flowering to promote reblooming, keeping the blooms returning longer! Cut the entire perennial down in late winter or early spring. Divide every 3-5 years to maintain vigor.

  • Cold Hardy Full Sun Lover
  • Any Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate to Low Moisture Needs - Drought Tolerant
  • Deadhead For Return Blooms & Prune Early Spring
  • Deer & Rabbit Resistant

Fantastic color, easy care, and superb hardiness, the Proven Winners® Color Spires® Back to the Fuchsia Perennial Sage will have you swooning year after year! Now available from NatureHills.com!
