Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

This showy feature plant is grown for it's erect, outreaching foliage in fabulous shades of pink, gold, chartreuse and green. Strappy, multi-hued Cha Cha Cordyline makes a big impact in either sun or shade.

All will be forgiven if you spend long minutes studying the depth of color of your Cha Cha. It's surprisingly restful to detail how the warm apricots blend into browns…then note how they jump right back into saucy greens.

Planting and Application:

Use this clump forming plant as an evergreen accent and enjoy how their sinuous blades move in the wind. Let them introduce you to their unforgettable display of "plant dancing"!

  • These special New Zealand cultivars behave as perennials in USDA Growing Zones 8 and up. Otherwise, keep them as incredible annuals in cold winter zones.
  • Place Cha Cha Cordyline as a "Thriller" in containers. Or, if the pot is large enough…weave to surround a Tropicanna Canna as a "Filler".
  • Plant several in a winding pattern through the mid-layer of your garden plantings…you'll appreciate their softly dynamic rhythm as you move around your space. Cha Cha Cordyline has the ability to bring different design elements together…from trees to hardscape to groundcover.
  • Add an easy elegance to your home with their captivating form. What could be higher-end than a matched series of outdoor pots styled with Cha Cha Cordyline along the length of your pool deck?
  • Of course, commercial landscapers adore these hard-working, clump-forming plants in mass plantings. Cha Cha Cordyline features a fine, fibrous root system that never gets invasive.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Plant them in either full sun or partial shade. They seem to thrive in either condition, as long as they have at least four hours of direct sunlight a day.

  • Well-drained soil is important to keep them healthy. Raise them up in planting beds to improve the drainage, as needed.
  • There isn't much need to prune these giving plants. However, you can feel free to trim some of the foliage to weave into your cut flower arrangements.
  • Provide a moderate amount of water on a regular basis. Lightly mulch over the roots, and pull it back away from the crown.
