To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

 

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Canna Yellow, Canna flaccida 'Yellow', produces very attractive pale, canary yellow petals that are speckled with oranges splashes. The flowers grow in clusters at the top of long stalks, and the lip of the flower is wavy. Flowers emerge in the evening, but wither in the heat of the following day. This canna is easy to grow in the USA as long as it can enjoy at least 6-8 hours average sunlight during the summer. Plant a clump of yellow cannas next to a garden pond to add color and structure; also a great plant for low beds, borders and specimen plantings! Yellow canna thrives in areas with moist soil or in locations where you will be able to water during dry periods. Cut back to ground level after flowering; north of zone 7, dig up the rhizomes just after frost kills the foliage. Dry them out and store them in a cool, lightly moist peat moss until the early spring. Plant this canna outside after all danger of frost is past and it will soon begin its summer show!
