This woody deciduous perennial plant requires a single pruning cut to the ground in early spring. After that, you'll enjoy an amazing fountain of cool-toned, blue-green, lance-shaped foliage throughout the hot summer months.

Gibraltar Bush Clover has an arching, fountain-like nature and spreads wide to fill in bare ground. Use Gibraltar Bush Clover en masse to create a lush, vibrant landscape with very low effort.

They are adaptable to a variety of conditions. Once it is established, it even tolerates drought!

As the growing season starts winding down, the real show starts happening. Delicate, pea-shaped, rosy purple-pink racemes of blossoms create long panicles that blanket the long, arching branches.

They'll look like a flowering waterfall in your yard!

Gain an amazing ornamental feature at this special time of year without any special care. Even after the blooms are past, attractive seedpods form.

Leave these unique plants standing over winter for an incredible decorative touch. You'll love how their vase-shaped form gleams with frosty rime ice and sculpts light snowfall.

Outstanding spreading habit, showy form, blue-green foliage, exquisite flowers, and decorative seedpods make Gibraltar Bush Clover an excellent choice for a very stylish, modern landscape.

You won't find a more impressive "waterfall of flowers" for your fall landscape. Order the enticing Gibraltar Bush Clover from our plant experts today!

How to Use Gibraltar Bush Clover in the Landscape

Add interest and fine texture to your hot, dry areas. Plant these delightful plants in a mass planting to spread together and touch.

Stabilize your sloping ground with a gorgeous planting...it's far safer than trying to mow it! Plant them three feet apart on center, staggering a second row behind them for a quick fill.

Use in your mixed borders. They partner well with Prairie-style perennials, who also require full sun and well-drained soil.

For a modern look, you can rely solely on single-species plantings of these durable flowering plants. They can be outlined in Boxwood for a fresh take on traditional, as well.

These nitrogen-fixing plants improve your soil and bring beneficial nectar to pollinators. If you have an annual veggie garden, use them nearby to support your "Second Planting" of the season.

Try a row of Gibraltar Bush Clover along your property line, or to decorate a fenceline, let them cascade over rocks or over the tops of a terraced hillside.

Use them on the sunny side of mature evergreen trees and shrubs to enliven their looks. They'll also soften the top of retaining walls with easy charm.

#ProPlantTips for Care

Give this sun-lover at least six hours of full sunlight a day. It's adaptive to a variety of conditions, but does need soils that drain quickly after a rainfall.

For the first year, pay close attention to watering. They will be establishing their roots into your soil at that time, and need consistent moisture.

Cut them back to the ground in early spring. Gibraltar blooms on new wood, so cutting it back to the ground not only presents a clean appearance for winter but also encourages new growth in spring.

Make the most out of your property investment. Create a handsome, hard-working space for you, your family, and your friends to enjoy. Order Gibraltar Bush Clover today at NatureHills.com!

beautiful and healthy

The plant arrived well packed and it was easy to plant. It has grown very large in a quick amount of time and seems very happy and healthy. So far it is all green with small white buds at the tips. We look forward to seeing it develop over the Fall and Winter. So far it has not bloomed any pink blossoms yet. Hopefully soon or next summer. Thank you.

Hello Run R.,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful experience with your Gibraltar Bush Clover! We’re delighted to hear it arrived safely and that it has taken quickly to your garden, looking so healthy and bursting with green foliage. It sounds like your plant is thriving already with those small white buds—an excellent sign that it's adapting well to its new environment.

Regarding the pink blossoms, don’t worry—they typically appear after the plant fully establishes itself, often more noticeably in its second growing season or during peak bloom times next summer. In the meantime, ensuring your bush clover receives full sun and deep, infrequent watering can encourage vibrant blooms. If you want tips on fertilizing or seasonal care to assist its development, feel free to reach back out anytime!

We’re excited for you to watch your Gibraltar Bush Clover flourish through Fall and Winter. Thanks again for choosing NatureHills.com, and for sharing your journey with your lovely plant.

Hi RunRabbitRun,

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with your Gibraltar Bush Clover! We're delighted to hear it arrived in great condition and is thriving so well already. It sounds like you’re doing an excellent job caring for it, and it’s lovely that the small white buds are starting to show.

Regarding the pink blossoms, it’s quite normal for them to take a little time—often well into late summer or next year for some bushes—to fully develop their colorful blooms. Make sure your Gibraltar Bush Clover gets plenty of sunlight (full sun is best) and consistent watering, especially during dry spells. Adding a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring can also encourage vibrant blooms.

We’re excited for you to see it reach its full potential through the Fall and Winter seasons—those future pink blossoms will certainly be worth the wait!

Hello sus960,

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with Gibraltar Bush Clover! We’re delighted to hear how beautifully they cascade and add a lovely splash of color to your late summer garden. Their rich hues really do complement the summer yellows perfectly, making for a stunning display.

Since you’ve had several seasons to enjoy them, you might find periodic pruning right after flowering helps encourage a tidier shape and promotes more vibrant blossoms for the following years. Also, if you ever want to experiment, seed collection after blooms fade can be a rewarding way to propagate new plants.

We’re always excited to support fellow gardeners who appreciate the charm and resilience of these bushes. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you ever want tips on companion planting or seasonal care.

Honeybee
elegant stunner

This is an elegant plant with bi-colored blossoms and a soft, graceful form. It's much loved by pollinators. This bush is packed with bees and butterflies. In a nutshell, this is a great bush to buy!

Dear Honeybee,

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely experience with the Gibraltar Bush Clover! We’re delighted to hear that its elegant bi-colored blossoms and graceful form have won your heart, and that it’s such a pollinator magnet in your garden. Bees and butterflies are wonderful signs of a healthy, thriving ecosystem, and it’s fantastic that your bush is supporting them so beautifully.

If you ever want to enhance your pollinator garden even more, adding companion plants like Coneflowers or Black-eyed Susans can extend bloom times and provide varied nectar sources. Also, keeping the bush gently pruned after flowering can encourage robust growth and prolific blooming in the seasons ahead.

We’re thrilled the Gibraltar Bush Clover is such a great addition to your garden and truly appreciate your kind words!
