#ProPlantTips for Care:
Green thumb lacking? No worries with our Burgundy Iceberg Rose Tree! This tree Rose is easy to grow when planted in full sun in a location with enriched, well-drained soil and good air circulation. Roses need regular moisture access to support those flushes of blooms. Provide 3-4 inches of arborist mulch over the top of the root system to keep weeds at bay, but keep the mulch pulled back away from the stems.
Use Nature Hills Root Booster in the planting hole as a symbiotic formula works to support the tiny feeder roots over the whole life of your Rose bush. For the longest, sturdiest stems, fertilize in spring with a Rose formula and reapply according to the directions.
Rose Tree Care & Pruning
Some winter protection for Tree Form Roses is suggested for the colder zones 5 and 6 and some of zone 7 too by overwintering in an unheated garage after it goes dormant, or outside with straw and burlap wrap. Then in spring, take it back out or unwrap it, then trim the head back to about a 12" sphere just as it begins to grow again in spring.
Early each spring, after the last frost of the year has passed, it's always a good idea to prune back the Rose tree several inches to maintain the nice round form atop its trunk. Keep new blooms returning with occasional deadheading, quickly improving your overall display.
Prune away suckers and branching that forms at the base or on the trunk each year too. Pruning Roses allow for better, bushier growth each year and stimulates new growth.
