Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Dee Runk Boxwood: Columnar Evergreen Variety
The Dee Runk Boxwood (Buxus sempervirens 'Dee Runk') is an elegant, upright broadleaf evergreen shrub with a naturally columnar, pyramidal growth habit. With its dense, glossy green foliage and striking form, Dee Runk Boxwood delivers year-round beauty and functionality.
It won't be long before you'll luxuriate in the lush, fine-textured foliage of this taller-growing Boxwood. It stays compact and narrow and will naturally grow a wider bottom than the top. Dee Runk is actually a speedy little grower for a Boxwood - can grow up to 6 inches a year. As the plants develop, they take on the look of living exclamation points!

Container Plantings: Showcase its sleek shape in decorative pots for patios, decks, or balcony gardens. Dee Runk is super space-saving and can be included almost anywhere!
Hedges and Privacy Screens: Plant in a row for a unique and space-saving hedge that offers year-round coverage. For a solid hedge, plant them 2 feet apart on center. You'll measure from the center of one to the center of the next. Allow them to grow together as a single plant.
Mixed Borders: Pair with lower-growing shrubs and perennials for added contrast and drama in the landscape. Dee Runk makes the perfect partner for small, rounded shrubs or perennials. Try them near classic Bobo® Hydrangea, colorful Goldmound Spirea, or even the rustic Denim n' Lace Russian Sage.
Boxwood Care & Maintenance
Plant Boxwood with Nature Hills Root Booster for lifelong symbiotic root system support.
- Sunlight Needs: Performs well in full sun to partial shade. In hotter climates, some afternoon shade is beneficial.
- Soil Requirements: Boxwood prefers well-drained, moist soil. Avoid overly wet, compacted and clay areas.
- Watering: Keep the roots soil evenly moist during the first growing season. Once established, it can handle short periods of drought.
- Pruning Tips: Minimal pruning is needed right after flowering to shape and encourage dense growth.
- Mulching: Apply a 3-4 inch layer of bark chip mulch around the root system to help conserve moisture and regulate soil temperature.
- Winter Care: Spray plants subjected to drying northern winds with wilt-stop. All broadleaf evergreens need a long drink before winter to prevent windburn.
Easy Evergreen Brilliance!
These special plants add so much to your landscape, without taking up much real estate. Take a good look around at your landscape. Where could you use a year-round pop of dark green color, and the drama of a strongly vertical accent?
