To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

Showy bright golden green waves, the Proven Winners® Bowles Golden Sedge Grass (Carex elata 'Bowles Golden') has dazzling bright gold foliage with narrow green margins that make Bowles Golden really stand out in the garden!
The attractive arching habit and its bright foliage color add a waterfall effect that adds graceful color and flowing fine texture! The spring foliage emerges a bright yellow before softening to its green and gold variegation. Forming fountains that light up the shadier locations of your landscape.
Semi-evergreen in frost-free climates, Bowles Golden grows best in USDA planting zones 6 to 8, handling heat and humidity with ease. The tidy clumps grow 2-3 feet tall and wide and are generally deer and rabbit-resistant and few pests and diseases bother these plants.
Landscape Application:
This variety of Sedge thrives in consistently moist soils, and it can also be grown in shallow water at the edge of a garden pond to stabilize soil. The bold color and flowing form look great reflected in pools of Meditation gardens and add movement and calm to Zen gardens.
Gorgeous golden green edging, use Bowles as facer plants along the fronts of your garden beds and borders. #ProPlantTips for Care:
The more sun, the more color you get in the foliage, but in hotter climates, Sedge Grasses grow well in afternoon or partial shade locations. Plant in well-drained soil locations with regular moisture access in enriched locations. In the early spring before you see new growth emerge, prune back your plants or mow over large areas. Divide clumps every few years to keep them growing in bounds.
