Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Bright pink and gold, Bowl of Love Peony (Paeonia x 'Bowl of Love') is a late Japanese type, with dark pink outer petals surrounding golden-yellow staminodes.

Fantastically fragrant, they are highly floriferous, filling the top of this small herbaceous perennial with ruffled petals and textured centers! The strong scent makes these fantastic pollinator attractors and they are great cut flowers! Pick when barely open for a long-lasting display that fills your vases and bouquets with scented ruffles!

Emerging from the ground each year, the coarse-textured foliage is a deep green classic Peony leaf clump that remains small and tidy. Small enough to plant in planters that have winter chill protection and good drainage Peony melds beautifully with other plants, and has a certain elegance when combined with Roses!

Planting and Application:

Peony plants make fantastic low hedges and add romance to walkways and paths! Their scent entices you further into the garden. Dot throughout perennial beds and among early spring bulbs that shine happily while the Peony foliage emerges, then sleep under the shading leaves all summer. Classics cutting and cottage garden additions, no pollinator border should be without a couple of peonies!

Fantastic foliage and bright blooms for along the front of your foundation plantings, arrange around mailboxes and gazebos or fringe the base of trellis and arbors. Plant in porch and balcony planters or arrange a few in pots around your seating areas to keep the scent close!

  • Bright Pink Ruffled Petals & Golden Yellow Centers
  • Incredibly Scented
  • Rich Green Herbaceous Foliage
  • Low Hedge, Specimen & Containers
  • Cutting & Perennial Gardens, Beds & Borders

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Bareroot Peony thrive in the full sun, but tolerate part shade, however, you’ll notice fewer blossoms. Plant in soil that has excellent drainage and moderate moisture. Deeply rooted, long-lived plants, and very low-maintenance!

  • Disease Resistant
  • Deer-Resistant
  • Deadhead After Bloom & Prune in Late Autumn

Bareroot Peonies are shipped as nice 3-5 eye divisions. Their woody roots are not uniform, it is normal for each root to look slightly different. Plant with the eyes just below surface level with the woody roots spread out underneath. Once planted, water and mulch thoroughly.
