To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Bare Root Plants
Bare root plants are sold by height from the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may exceed minimum height requirements.

- Shrubs & Perennials: 1 foot, 18 inches, 2 feet

Blue Star features brilliant white blossoms with a distinct bright blue stripe down the center of each petal! Butterflies and bees adore these flowers and both arrive in swarms! In full sun, the bright green foliage can barely be seen through all the flowers!
Planting and Application:
Lithodora are fantastic planted as erosion control atop steep slopes and hard-to-mow hillsides. Partly evergreen in mild winters, you’ll enjoy year-round groundcover in hardiness zones 6 and up. Let spill over retaining walls or ramble through the cracks and crevices of rock walls, or creep through your Rock garden for a gorgeous effect!
Blue Star Lithodora is ideal edging to soften the transition between lawn and garden edges and is durable enough for that tricky location along the roadside. Let spill and cascade over the edges of pots on your sunny front porch, or as filler in large mixed patio planters! These are even tough enough for along driveways, paths and between pavers where light foot traffic won’t slow them down!

Lithodora flowers best in full sun, handling part shade, but you’ll have fewer flowers. These need very well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Shear lightly after flowering in late summer to retain the dense form. These Xeriscaping perennials may even winter over in zone 5 if covered with evergreen boughs and mulch.
