Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

At Nature Hills we handle, package and ship the products you order with the utmost care to ensure healthy delivery. Shipping and handling charges are calculated based on the tables below. Three is better than one! The gorgeous mixture package with a trio of fragrant, cheerful little spring ephemerals, the Crocus Blue Blend (Crocus vernus 'Flower Record', C. vernus 'Jeanne d'Arc', C. vernus 'King of Striped') is sure to delight your garden pots and borders this year! You’ll enjoy the silky, satiny petals of these low-growing blooms that feature lovely spiky green foliage clusters that are some of the first to break through the melting spring snows!

You’ll then enjoy the brilliant violet-purple blooms of Flower Record Crocus, the snow-white blossoms of Jeanne d'Arc! The third member is the combination of both of these gorgeous blossoms - King of Striped which has vertical stripes in both the violet and white colors!

Crocus Blue Blend adds fragrance and intriguing color to your spring garden as a break from those long winter days! These are among the easiest plant-and-forget type of landscaping beauties! Force indoors for winter décor!

Planting and Application:

Use these very low-growing perennial bulbs as edging or in containers and planters to create an early-season display anywhere sunny! Let meander throughout beds and borders, and among larger perennials or shrubs, without worrying the bulbs might interfere with larger roots or vice versa! Pollinator beds and rock gardens, everything looks better with these little darling bulbs!

Technically known as corms, Crocus bulbs should be planted in early fall before the ground freezes, depending on your growing zone and climate. Plant in a sunny site near a wall or foundation for earlier blooms, or in a shadier location for later emerging bulbs.

  • White, Blue-Violet & Striped White/Blue-Violet
  • Three Crocus Varieties in One Package
  • Spiky Green Grassy Foliage Clumps
  • Force for Winter Décor
  • Great in Containers, Edging, Around Larger Plants

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Crocus corms do best in full sun or partial shade, gardeners in growing zones 3 to 8 can leave Crocus bulbs in the ground, or even in a large planter year-round! Crocus bulbs require at least six to eight weeks of what's known as 'chill hours' before they will sprout. Best in well-drained soil with moderate fertility and mulch.

  • Full Sun to Part Shade
  • Moderately Moist Enriched Well-Drained Soil
  • Cannot Tolerate Soggy Conditions
  • Cold-Hardy Perennial Corm
  • Plant 2-6 Inches Apart, Pointed End Up

Crocus Blue Blend adds triple the delight to your garden and landscape! NatureHills.com ships your spring-flowering bulbs at the appropriate time in fall based on your growing zone!
