Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 3-8
Cheerful violet blooms that bring in the pollinators, the Grand Parade™ Bee Balm (Monarda dydyma 'ACrade') is an exceptionally hardy hybrid Bee Balm from the Morden Breeding Program in Manitoba.
In mid-late summer, the compact, bushy plants are covered with whimsical, 2.5-inch wide whorls of lavender-purple florets. The shiny, dark green foliage is aromatic, with a delightful fragrance of Mint that deer dislike but butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds adore! The tubular florets are nectar-rich and feed your pollinators throughout the summer!
The leaves of Monarda can be used for teas and in salads, giving rise to other common names like Bergamot and Oswego Tea, Grand Parade™ Monarda has shiny textured green leaves that look great even when not in bloom! Hardy throughout USDA planting zones 3 to 8, Monarda are cold hardy, and easy to grow!
Landscape Application:
This Grand Parade™ Monarda is a short and easy-to-manage ornamental perennial, creating borders, edging, and groupings throughout your sun landscape! Perfect for filling holes in any garden, as showy fillers in mixed planters, and as thrillers in containers!
Any garden becomes a pollinator garden and cut flower border, bringing in the beneficial insects and filling your vases with bouquets! Being an outstanding performer, Garden Parade™ will provide color and contrast for the wildflower garden, in prairies and meadows, in herb gardens, or along ponds or streams!
The bold color spreads easily into colonies, naturalizing when established, and creates juicy-hued borders, rows, in groupings, and is especially dramatic when massed!
- Unique Violet-Purple Blooms
- Shorter Perennial With Upright Spreading Clumps
- Aromatic Strong Stems & Foliage
- Great Nectar-Resource For Pollinators & Showy Cut Flowers
- Amazing Massed & Grouped, Showy Specimens & Container Accents
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Monarda flowers the best when planted in full sun but will tolerate afternoon shade, especially in hotter climates. Grand Parade™ is best grown in rich soil in a well-drained area and appreciates not being allowed to dry out. Water regularly during the summer to support the blooms and provide a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch around the roots to keep them insulated and retain soil moisture more consistently.
Deadhead when the flowers fade to clean the mounds and then in the fall, remove the tops of the plants after frost kills back the foliage. Divide every few years to keep the spread in check and maintain the growing vigor.
- Full Sun Plants - Part Shade In Hot Climates
- Needs Well-Drained & Enriched Soil
