Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

A Hardy, Fast Spreading Groundcover Baltic Ivy

Don't settle with groundcover that ignores bare patches or doesn't grow quickly enough to prevent erosion. Baltic Ivy (Hedera helix var. baltica) will gladly do the job twice as well as any other groundcover. This wonderful ivy is attractive and spreads thoroughly, quickly, and without objection to brick, cement, or wood.

This perennial broadleaf might as well be the go-to model for those faux ivies you see everywhere. With its three-lobed leaves and variance in green, this plant is unbeatable. Its leaves are more petite than English Ivy but maintain that classic ivy shape. In addition to providing a more compact ivy appearance, Baltic Ivy performs better through the winter. In fact, this is one of the cold hardiest ivies you will find!

Blanket your garden with rich green foliage that is highlighted with thin, pale green veins. Plant your Baltic Ivy over sand, stone, or cement and it will grab hold quickly and spread its verdant personality without hesitation. It can help hide those better-left-unseen areas of your garden or add green to a bare or dull part of your yard.

Because of its compact nature and dense foliage, Baltic Ivy makes a wonderful privacy screen for your porch or patio. It will joyfully climb trellis or fencing. Hide that outdoor A/C unit or build a box around unsightly plumbing and let Baltic Ivy do what it does best: grow, grow, grow.

This evergreen groundcover stays true green through winter and is easy to care for.

To keep this classic ground cover thriving, provide it with partial shade or full sun and medium-moisture, well-drained soil. Water yours once its soil begins to appear dry.

Baltic Ivy will climb upwards of twenty-five feet and spreads when allowed to cling to wood or brick for that perfect cottage or rustic appearance. This handsome, self-clinging plant is happy to help control erosion or naturalize an area of your yard.

Baltic Ivy is a winning groundcover with exceptional privacy applications. Its foliage sprouts with variations of green, adding more interest and appeal than other groundcovers.

Low-maintenance, fast-growing, attractive, and all you can ask for in a groundcover: Baltic Ivy. Baltic Ivy is sure to give your house a worldly feel and leave you with plenty of time to read a good book or enjoy a cup of tea.
