Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 5-9
The Azalea Ashley Marie Girard (Rhododendron girard x 'Ashley Marie') is an extremely hardy broadleaf-evergreen Azalea, with large clusters of flouncy, rose-red flowers that display vividly on strong sturdy branches. This small, evergreen shrub produces wavy clusters of deep-red rose flowers that nearly cover the plants in spring.
The leaves of these smaller dwarf shrubs are bright green accented with white edges, so even when not in bloom, they look lovely. And they hold those leaves year-round! Small mounded and a bit lower growing, these are slow-and-steady growers that won't require any fussing or maintenance!
Their medium-size growth habit is vigorous enough to make the Girards adaptable to the south as well as the colder climates. Able to withstand a wide array of temperatures! Thriving in USDA hardiness zones 5 through 9, they're widely adaptable little darlings!
Planting and Application:
Bright enough for a perennial bed backdrop, a focal point by your front door and of course add that bit of dark green in the dreary winters. The size of these diminutive shrubs however won't take up too much space! Growing a bit wider than tall, all of 18-24 inches tall, these are darling accents for modern-sized lots and urban courtyards alike!
Low hedges and borders, facer plants in front of taller shrubs and around trees, or as year-round edging, Ashley Marie adds a bright burst of juicy color! The Ashley Marie has variegated foliage that adds brightness and interest throughout the rest of the season. Ashley Marie is excellent as a hedge or accent plant. Don't even have a yard? Container gardeners and balcony gardens can enjoy these in planters and large pots that are protected from the winter chill.
- Vivid Rose Red Flower Clusters
- Colorful Variegated Broadleaf-Evergreen
- Smaller Mounded Wide-Spreading Shape
- Great Accents, Specimen, Low Hedges & Edging
- Space-Saving Year-Round Interest
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Plant evergreen Azaleas in well-drained soil, away from any site that may be soggy at any part of the year. Mound them up onto berms if drainage is at all a concern, and mulch their shallow root systems well for insulation and moisture retention. Locate in full sun or partial shade and give them moderate moisture access. Prune Azaleas immediately after flowering and shape them as desired, but these small, slow-growing shrubs won't need much. Pruning at the wrong time can decrease the number of blooms for the coming spring or remove them completely!
- Full Sun & Partial Shade
- Well-Drained Moderately Moist Soil
- Prune After Flowering
- Cold Hardy
- Low Maintenance
Vivid color and gorgeous variegation, there are few smaller shrubs with as much visual impact as the colorful Ashley Marie Girard Azalea bush! Hurry and order this darling today at NatureHills.com before they all sell out!
