To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

This hybrid of a Silver Maple and a Red Maple is a dependable tree that has the best traits of both parents. It grows quickly and is dependable in the landscape. It grows in almost any condition and is one of the toughest and most adaptable shade trees available on the market today.
The popular red maple is prized for its landscape value as both a great shade tree and for their wonderful red fall color. But not all Red Maple are as widely adapted as the Autumn Fantasy Maple, (Acer X freemanii 'Autumn Fantasy').
A popular lawn tree this maple variety will provide shade in a short amount of time which is much appreciated in the warmer climates of the west. But this very special tree also tolerates the harsh cold of zones 3 -4 where other red maples performance may be challenged. It also grows in high pH soils found in the Western states.

How to Use Autumn Fantasy Red Maple Tree in the Landscape
Autumn Fantasy Maple Tree will be a winner in your yard and neighborhood. You and the neighbors will love the bright, bold color that comes on as nights get cooler.
Plan an outdoor recreation area in your backyard that will be shaded by the lovely leaves all summer. If used as a lawn tree, set a hammock or two directly under the tree to casually laze away a summer's afternoon.
Site it 30 feet away from a fire pit with rustic benches set in a circle around it. Autumn Fantasy Maple will create a magnificent backdrop for your fall get-togethers.

Autumn Fantasy Maple is adapted to a wide variety of soil types. Once established, they are one of the most drought tolerant varieties of Maple tree. It will even tolerate periodic wet soil, as long as it drains quickly.
When young, prune to maintain a single leader. Simply remove any secondary leaders back to the main trunk. Once grown, this tree is almost maintenance free.
Provide your Autumn Fantasy a well-drained, full sun location and stand back and let this tree perform.
While its tolerant of some drought, you'll get the best results with regular watering. Plan to drag your hose out to provide deep waterings during extreme periods of heat. Mulch in hotter, drier climates to 3 to 4 inches out to 3 feet beyond the outside of the canopy to protect the top of the root ball.
