Everything you love about Autumn Joy - but brighter! Introducing the offspring of the well-known Autumn Sedum that brought joy to our fall gardens with the new Autumn Charm™ Sedum (Sedum 'Lajos')! Keeping all the amazing benefits, color, and hardiness of its parent plant, Autumn Charm™ sports vibrant blue-green succulent foliage with creamy yellow variegated edges!
A very showy, upright perennial with the big fluffy pink clusters of star-shaped flowers we all know and love (and every pollinator too!), Autumn Charm delights you with its long-lasting summer and fall display! The grey-green leaves have variegated serrated edges and they form an upright clump on stems. The bright pink flowers in mid-summer change to a rust red in the fall!
Their stout, sturdy stems support large flower heads. Use these blooms in floral bouquets and dried flower arrangements, or leave them on the plant for your bees and butterflies, such as the Monarch, and for winter interest! Even the birds will be charmed by this variety of Stonecrop! Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 3 to 9, these are resilient plants that thrive in drought, heat, sun, and poor soil conditions! Even the deer and rabbits seldom bother with them!
Planting and Application:
This is one of the most exciting garden perennials that you can plant in your garden. That's why Autumn Charm™ is a fantastic specimen plant and colorful accent! Looking incredible throughout the entire growing season, as the variegated foliage lights up the landscape! Cottage gardens and Perennial borders, Pollinator gardens and cut flower borders are all perfect locations for these flowering ornamental perennials!
They make fantastic plants edging a formal flower bed or very informally added to a mixed border. But what they have really become is an amazing landscape plant with a solid presence year-round! Let it take center stage, or use it as a colorful backdrop for other, smaller plants like ground covers. Pair Autumn Charm™ with other fall-blooming plants, such as Coneflower, Asters, and Ornamental Grasses in a fall garden.
Brighten a Rock Garden or xeric landscaping area where these plants really shine, like hell strips along the road, sidewalk, and driveway! Their tolerance of sun and drier conditions also makes Stonecrop like Autumn Charm perfect in planters and patio pots! Gorgeous accents and fillers, thrillers, and focal points!

Add a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch around the root zone to keep more moisture consistency in the soil. Perform a quick cleanup of this low-maintenance plant in the early spring - just cut the dried stems down to the ground.
- Sun-Loving Hardy Succulent
