To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

When you first lay eyes on the Amber Glow™ Dawn Redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'WAH-08AG'), you will blink once, twice, and even a third time because its foliage is just so bright and unbelievably attractive. This ancient and stunning tree is truly a gift to own.
This striking Redwood was once thought to be extinct until it was rediscovered in the mid-20th century. And while that is quite intriguing, the age of this particular species is even more impressive. The Redwood has been around for over 50 million years. Dinosaurs probably used it to add color to their front yards.
The Amber Glow™ Dawn Redwood grows quickly for a Redwood (which is like saying "fast for a sloth") and reaches soaring heights. It maintains a narrow pyramidal form as its trunk thickens and expands with fluted segments, similar to a Cypress tree.
And given the Amber Glow™ Dawn Redwood has feathery, chartreuse foliage that deepens to a glowing fiery red, orange, or yellow in the fall, it is difficult to find a better ornamental tree with this much pep. This lovely tree's needles are as soft as feathers, too!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
This unique deciduous evergreen grows well in full sun, and younger trees handle partial shade until they outgrow or outlive their neighbors. Plant in a nice roomy area with well-drained soil and regular moisture access. Once established, doesn't need special care beyond a deep layer of mulch and a late winter trim when needed to correct growth when young. Check with your local County Extension Office to see if a Redwood grows well in your climate.
