Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age

Growing Zones 9 - 10
Huge overlapping rose pink petals, the African Milady® Amaryllis (Amaryllis 'Milady') will stun you this holiday season. For those who walk to the beat of a different drum and don’t want all that glitter, candy-striped red and white, or just aren't feeling that holiday spirit this year, the Milady® is your kind of winter-flowering live decor!
Long upright strappy leaves spout from these large bulbs fast, growing into a tidy fountain and soon the flowering wonders appear! Often with one or more big blooms, these satellites open into umbles atop their stout stems! These quality bulbs will frequently have a second bud ready to take over once the first blossom begins to fade (which won't be for a long while, so don’t hold your breath!)
From the time your dormant bulb arrives and gets planted indoors, you can expect your first blooms in as little as a month and a half! Adding bottom heat or warm temperatures will speed things up a bit.
Planting and Application:
Growing up to 16 inches when in bloom, the spectacular rosy Milady® Amaryllis shines as a fantastic accent in the home or garden during the summer. These are dramatic specimens in patio containers, especially when grouped for eye-catching displays! Tuck into a special urn to use the blooms as focal points, and the greenery as filler and color!
With 5-7 inch wide blooms, winter forced bulbs like Milady® Amaryllis are in-ground hardy throughout USDA planting zones 9 to 11. But indoor gardeners in cooler climates around the country can enjoy these holiday spectacles!
These are beautiful gift items with breathtaking color and size, sure to garner tons of gratitude! Milady® African Amaryllis is a winter-blooming perennial bulb and can be brought indoors in cold weather, or kept in a cool dark place, once dormant, like Gladiolias or Dahlia.
- Huge Rosy Pink Wide-Open Blossoms

#ProPlantTips for Care:
These plants do best in bright yet indirect sunshine for the strongest stems and the best flowering display. If grown outdoors in frost-free growing zones as a landscape perennial, these bulb plants can tolerate full sun and partial shade locations. African Amaryllis bulbs should be planted in enriched, well-drained soil, pointed end up, with the neck and top third of the bulb above the soil, then water and mulch well. Disliking soggy locations, water sparingly.
Amaryllis should be deadheaded as soon as the blooms fade, but the foliage looks handsome all growing season! Keep the handsome foliage intact and place it in a bright sunny window to make food for the bulb, or keep it in a pot or planter outside with other perennials to showcase the gorgeous greenery! They especially enjoy a bright sunny window in your home.
- Full Sun & Partial Shade Outdoors, Bright Indirect Indoors
- Rich Organic Well-Drained Soil
- Deadhead After Bloom & Clean Mound When Leaves Yellow
- Moderate Moisture
- Dislikes Soggy Soil
The classy African Milady® Amaryllis is ready to brighten your indoor and outdoor spaces with fantastic rosy tropical blooms that warm up the winter months! NatureHills.com ships your fall-planted bulbs in the autumn based on your climate and growing zone!
