To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

The perfect windbreak tree! The Affinity American Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Affinity') wasn't originally meant for you the homeowner. But you will love it anyway and of course, it will perform like a champ - sure to be a workhorse in your yard!
So who was Affinity developed for? This Arborvitae was originally created with the farmer in mind. (If you are a professional farmer, then please forgive us. This tree was meant for you!) It was developed by the USDA in Indiana to line fields as a windbreak to help farmers have healthier crops.
The soft-looking foliage is evergreen – greener in the summer and more yellow-green during the winters throughout USDA planting zones 3 to 7. But choose your place wisely because they can grow to a whopping 80 feet after many years! Don't worry about this fluffy gem taking up loads of space, because Affinity grows 6 - 10 feet wide at the base.

Affinity grows the most compact and fast in full sun and well-drained soil. New trees need regular moisture to get established but become drought-tolerant once they have settled. All plants appreciate a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch around the roots. These shouldn't need pruning often but you can remove crossed branches, winter dieback, and wayward shoots in the spring after the first flush of new growth.
