Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 6-10
Your Sunshine Daydream is a broadleaf evergreen Abelia with a more compact nature than some other cultivars, but still possessing all the majestic color you've come to expect of an Abelia. The Sunshine Daydream Abelia (Abelia 'Sunshine Daydream') is a compact shrub with variegated foliage and lovely flowers that last from spring until fall, sometimes until frost!
Like a daydream on a summer day resplendent in sunshine, Sunshine Daydream presents an elegant mixture of color and texture that seems too beautiful to be real. Beloved most for its colorful foliage, your Sunshine Daydream features glossy leaves of a lively green hue with shades of cream. The green and cream blend sets the stage for the exquisite, rosy edging of each leaf and offset by the red stems!
As if the lovely foliage wasn't enough, trumpet-shaped, white blooms appear in late spring and persist into fall, slowly transitioning to a rosy hue with the passage of time. The subtle fragrance of the blossoms creates a compelling allure for your yard's pollinators and even Hummingbirds will stop by! In autumn, an additional splash of color appears with the foliage transitioning to purple, an engaging picture that blends with the purple stems.
Landscape Application:
Sunshine Daydream is an evergreen shrub that will grow in a mounded habit and a spreading nature that is more compact than many other Abelia cultivars. Under optimal conditions can live up to 30 years, so it's quite long-lived! Impressive specimens in their own right, Abelia adds curb appeal and color throughout the spring, summer, fall, and winter months!
Plant a few for a short, colorful border along your sidewalk, or perhaps just a few in your perennial bed for an enduring splash of color.
These large Abelia are fantastic privacy and screening hedges, you’ll love having these showy plants envelop your home with their fragrant seclusion! The densely packed leaves and colorful foliage shield your barbecue pit, seating areas, or pool sunbathing areas from prying eyes.
A flowering backdrop that may outshine the rest of your garden, but provide a steady year-round bank of greenery! Both formally sheared, or left to grow naturally, Abelia are ideal for foundations or mixed shrub borders. Fill your Rock Gardens with their hardiness, or the Cottage Garden and Perennial border with nearly non-stop blooms!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Abelia are very easy-to-grow ornamentals and do best in full sun and even part shade are adaptable to a variety of well-draining soils and are very easy to care for. Thriving best in slightly acidic soils, these shrubs have low watering needs once established. Water well through their first year as they established and after that is pretty tough!
Apply a three-inch layer of mulch over the root system, but pull it back six inches from the stems, and reapply as needed. They don't need much pruning to maintain their natural form in the late winter.
It's quite simply a delightful shrub with a lot to offer! These deciduous Abelia are known for having a strong root system and are wonderfully easy to grow! Even the neighborhood deer will leave it alone unless they are desperate!
