Plants must have well-drained soil and moderate yet regular moisture for new plants, but once established, these plants are drought-tolerant water-wise perennials! Prune back your grasses in the late winter or very early spring when you see the beginnings of some new green growth. Because these are cool-season grasses, they can grow fantastic during the cooler parts of the growing season, but slow down in the heat of the summer.
