Ethereal white chases away the winter, the FrostKiss™ Molly's White® Hellebore (Helleborus x 'EPBRD01') is a late winter to very early spring flowering perennial, perfect for setting the stage for spring each year! Early emerging pollinators adore these welcome nectar resources!

Soft delicate greenish-hued white blooms shyly nod from atop tall delicate, darker stems. The soft green leaves have soft sterling silver veins and toothy edges, giving the dense clumps a mottled, two-tone effect! Often evergreen in warm winters, the neat, tidy and very compact foliage clumps look wonderful throughout the rest of the growing season too!

FrostKiss™ series of flowering Hellebore have been selected for their tolerance of more sun in cooler summers than their shade-loving cousins. Still more at home in shady garden plots and filtered sun borders, Lenten Roses are welcome sights as they can often be seen rising up among melting winter snows.

Planting and Application:

Molly's White® is a delight to plant among other early blooming spring bulbs. Mix these types of plants together among later emerging bulbs and perennials so they can show off all spring, then bask in the welcome shade the late spring and summer plants foliage provides them.

Hellebore are adored spring wildflowers that add instant woodland wonder and elegance to shade gardens, perennial, cottage and pollinator borders! Be sure to include a few extras for cutting, since the long slender stems are ideal for those first spring floral arrangements! Slowly colonizing small areas, they gleefully wind throughout larger perennials and shrubs without disturbing anyone else’s roots, hiding in the shade of their later foliage.

  • Full Sun in Cool Summers, Part Shade & Full Shade
