Peach Trees for Sale at Nature Hills

Peach Tree

Peach trees were producing tasty fruit in China as far back as the 10th century. These delicately beautiful fruit trees arrived in the United States in about the 17th century. Along with being tasty, the peach is a very healthy choice of fruit. A medium peach contains 40 calories with no fat, sodium or cholesterol. A peach will provide 2% of the daily requirements of vitamin A and 10% of the vitamin C requirements. Peaches are sometimes categorized as freestone or clingstone. The pits of freestone peaches are easily removed whereas the clingstone peach pits are more difficult to separate from the fruit.

Browse our inventory for an array of peach tree varieties. You’ll find the preferred USDA planting zone noted on each selection, making it easier to find the peach trees that will thrive on your property. From the relatively cold-resistant Flamin’ Fury® to the year-round beauty of a Santa Barbara peach tree to the delicate yet adaptable White Lady peach tree, we deliver a range of options right to your door.

Each peach tree in our inventory includes detailed instructions for planting, pruning and long-term care. Here are some general tips for selecting your peach trees:

  • Close up of peaches
All peach trees prefer full sun and well-drained soil. To reap the largest, tastiest peaches, choosing a good location is key.
  • For best results, thin the branches every year to allow sunlight to reach the inner parts of the tree. Pruning young peach trees properly is particularly important to ensure a bountiful harvest and long tree life.
  • Peach trees prefer a soil pH of around 6.5.
  • As a general rule, most of the peach trees do not need pollinators to produce fruit.
  • Place your fruit tree in a location that’s rich with deep, sandy, loamy ground.

If you have more fruit than you think your tree can hold, thin the crop of nascent peaches to ensure the fruits that are left will be larger and tastier. Keep grass and other plant material away from the peach tree trunk so they do not compete with the tree. Leave an area of about three feet around the trunk and apply mulch. Bearing peach trees require at least one inch of water per week. Apply one inch of water a week if adequate rainfall does not occur.
