This Privet does well in either sun or part shade, but the color will be better the more sun it has. It will tend toward darker greens in shadier situations. Provide a well-drained site with regular moisture access throughout the year. Water deeply and regularly after its initial planting, but once it is established, Privet shrubs become drought-resistant.
