The lush Proven Winners® Color Choice® Let's Dance® Moonlight Hydrangea PP#20020 (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Robert') is a new series that represents the next generation of reblooming Hydrangea! You'll dance in delight yourself once these beauties bloom in your garden! These floriferous varieties bloom on both new wood and old, which creates an incredible display of color.

The bloom color is a rich pink that ages to bright green. Let's Dance® Moonlight Hydrangea is a strong repeat bloomer with large, richly-hued blossoms that can become blue depending upon the pH of your soil. The mophead flowers are held on sturdy stems that won't flop and they're backed by quilted deep green leaves. Those strong stems make them incredible in the bouquet or floral arrangement for indoor decor.

Moonlight is a Bigleaf Hydrangea that has a wonderful compact habit. You'll never find yourself bored with this plant at any time throughout the growing season! In autumn, the healthy foliage takes on rich bronze-red tones for additional interest late in the season. Hardy in USDA 5 through 9, the rounded shrubs form meat and today, compact mounds 2-3 feet in mature height and spread.

Planting and Application:

These are incredibly vibrant blossoms all sooner into fall, therefore deserve a garden location front and center. Plant them along your home's foundation shrubs as a face plant, or as a low hedge that defines your driveway or sidewalk. Use Hydrangea as a winding row throughout your border gardens or zigzag a few throughout a mixed shrub garden.

And the vibrant color is a focal point on its own, and really highlights cottage gardens, cutting gardens, anchors a pollinator garden and would look fantastic highlighting your mailbox so everyone driving down the street can easily find your home. Their smaller, compact size makes them fantastic to utilize as a porch or patio container plant and they will dress up your seating areas beautifully!

  • Rose Pink Reblooming Mophead
  • Big Textured, Quilted Green Foliage
  • Reblooming All Summer Into For
  • Pollinator-Friendly
  • Low Hedge, Specimen, Containers & Backdrop

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Moonlight Hydrangea is very adaptable but performs best in rich, well-drained, moist soil. If you plant this hardy Hydrangea in full sun, sufficient moisture is required and a 3-4 inch layer of mulch over the soil surface. When planted in hot climates, they appreciate afternoon shade. During hot, dry summers additional watering will be required to keep it flowering. Prune Bigleaf Hydrangea in early spring as soon as you see new growth emerging, and deadhead immediately after flowering to avoid removing next years flowers. This pH-sensitive Hydrangea will be blue in acidic soil, and pink in alkaline.

  • Full Sun & Part Shade
  • Consistently Moist Well-Drained Soil
  • Appreciated a Mulched Bed
  • Prune Only Right After Flowering
  • Blue in Acid & Pink in Alkaline

Big flouncy mophead blooms await you! Make sure to add one or two Proven Winners® Let's Dance® Moonlight Hydrangeas to your yard this season! Hurry and order from NatureHills.com today!

Let’s dance Moonlight bloom regularly - blue

Let’s dance Moonlight have bloomed regularly for about 10 yrs now against the house, mostly north exposure. Originally pink flowers when purchased but transitioned to purple and now blue in our soil. 3’ in ht. When nearby grass was limed they reverted to pinkish purple then back to mostly blue. We are zone 6b and with recent Very hot dry summers they wilt with the brief afternoon sun they get. Unfortunate. May have to consider moving them if these conditions continue every year. Otherwise very pleased with them

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a lovely review! It sounds like you've done a great job with your Bigleaf hydrangeas. ‘Let’s Dance Moonlight’ are happiest with morning sun and afternoon shade, consistently moist (not soggy) soil, and a 2–3' mulch to keep roots cool; if the brief afternoon sun keeps stressing them, consider moving them in fall/early spring to a spot with dappled light. Thanks again - Nature Hills Customer Support

I was hoping the flower color would be a deeper pink but the plant size is swell for us.

Hi Jake,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with the Proven Winners® Let's Dance® Moonlight Hydrangea! We're glad to hear that the plant size fits well with your space. We appreciate your note about the flower color—these hydrangeas often bring subtle variations depending on growing conditions such as soil pH and sunlight exposure.

If you’re aiming for a deeper pink hue, you might consider slightly adjusting your soil’s acidity by adding garden lime, which helps reduce acidity and encourages pinker blooms. Also, providing ample sunlight (around 4-6 hours a day) can enhance color vibrancy. Feel free to reach out if you'd like guidance on soil testing or more care tips to achieve the perfect bloom shade.

Thanks again for your feedback, Jake! We’re here anytime you need plant advice.

I was hoping the flower color would be a deeper pink but the plant size is swell for us.

Hi Jake,

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us! We’re delighted to hear the Proven Winners® Let's Dance® Moonlight Hydrangea is a good size for your space. Regarding the flower color, the “Moonlight” variety typically blooms with soft, best-in-class pastel hues rather than deeper pinks. If you’re looking for richer pink blooms, you might consider varieties like “Let’s Dance® Blushing Bride” or “Penny Mac,” which tend to have more vibrant pink tones.

If you’d like, we’re happy to help recommend additional shrubs or watering and care tips to bring out the best colors in your current hydrangea. Hydrangeas can sometimes display color variations depending on soil pH and fertilization, so amending your soil with slightly acidic or aluminum-rich additives might gently influence bloom color.

Thanks again for choosing Nature Hills — we’re always here to help you grow the garden of your dreams!
