Check out one of the most eye-catching Coral Bells available: the Forever® Purple Coral Bells (Heuchera 'TNHEUFP') was selected for its great vigor. The multi-crown plant has the most excellent, deep glossy purple leaves all year long, every year.

The clump-forming purple evergreen to deciduous plant grows in a mounded form that holds its color steadfast through heat and sun. In the summer, small purplish, pink-white, bell-shaped blooms rise just a few inches above the brilliant, ruffled foliage on their long slender stems.

Butterflies, hummingbirds, and other beneficial pollinators love the blooms. Deer and rabbits typically leave the plant alone, in favor of other plant types. Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9, these Coral Bells grow 12-15 inches in height when in bloom, and spreads to a leafy mound 18-24 inches wide.

Planting and Application:

The Forever® Purple Corals Bells can be used in many applications! As edging, in Rock Garden, mixed borders, and as nice facer plants at the front of any border. Add some shock effect in the shade, as groupings and rows throughout shaded gardens, perennial borders, and along pathways and your driveway with major curb appeal!

These space-saving perennials are as perfect and low-maintenance for mass plantings, as they are for container gardens alike! You'll call pollinators galore, hummingbirds, and you'll enjoy having the dainty blooms in cut flower bouquets and vibrant foliage in floral arrangements.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

The Forever® Purple is easy to grow and happy almost anywhere, throughout most growing zones in the US, in full sun or full shade. It is drought tolerant once established and prefers well-drained soil, and does best with regular moisture in the heat of the summer. Being a herbaceous Perennial, Heuchera dies back to the ground in cold winters, though in warmer zones, can remain semi-fully evergreen year-round! Add a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch around the base of your plant. It can be evergreen in the warmer climates, and in colder regions simply pick or snip off any dry or brown leaves in early spring, to allow fresh new foliage to develop. Other than that, Heuchera are low-maintenance!

  • No Fade Color in Full Sun or Partial Shade
  • Adaptable to a Variety of Well-Drained Soils & Conditions
  • Herbaceous Perennial - Evergreen in Warm Climates
  • Urban Environment Tolerant & Shrugs Off Heat & Humidity
  • Very Easy to Grow & Deer and Rabbits Leave it Alone

For year-round purple foliage, you can't go wrong with the Forever® Purple Coral Bells! Order today at Nature Hills Nursery!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I prune Coral Bells?

Coral Bells do best when pruned in the early spring. Leaving the foliage intact as an extra blanket for winter protection over the crown. In some climates, Coral Bells can be semi-evergreen, so leaving those colorful leaves up all winter adds winter interest!

Do Coral Bells prefer sun or shade?

Coral Bells need partial sun/shade or full shade in warmer climates. They do best in the morning sun to dry the leaves of dew and afternoon shade to provide relief from the hot summer sun.

Do Coral Bells spread?

Coral Bells can spread into tidy mounds about 2-3 feet in width but do not spread by rhizomes or stolons further than where they're planted.

Where do Coral Bells grow best?

Coral Bells love a shaded site in enriched soil that is well-drained. They appreciate regular moisture and a mulched root zone.

Do Coral Bells attract hummingbirds?

Coral Bells are loved by pollinators and hummingbirds! All walks of beneficial pollinators will show up to sip their nectar.

What pairs with Coral Bells?

These shade-loving perennials pair with lacy Astilbe and Ferns, other coarse foliage plants like Hosta, and the lobed foliage of Columbines! Try pairing with Barrenworts and Bergenia too!
