Baroness Fookes™ Clematis is a breathtaking new introduction from world-renowned Raymond Evison Clematis, bred and named to honor Baroness Janet Fookes, one of the first recipients of the Royal Horticultural Society’s prestigious Elizabeth Medal of Honour. This late-season, large-flowered clematis produces an extraordinary abundance of rich purple-blue flowers with darker purple stripes and striking red anthers, measuring an impressive 12–14 cm (nearly 5 inches) across, with successive flushes of bloom from May through July and again in late summer.

Plant Baroness Fookes™ Clematis in full sun to part shade with its roots in cool, moist, well-drained soil, shade the root zone with mulch or low-growing plants. Cut all stems back to 15 cm above ground in late winter or early spring (Group 3 pruning). Provide a trellis, obelisk, or fence for support.
