Description

Soft flouncy peachy cream blossoms, the Angel Martin Canna Lily (Canna x generalis 'Angel Martin') is accented by its near-black paddle like exotic foliage! Each lovely multi-layered bloom opens from the bottom of the flowering spike to the top, giving your garden a long-lasting burst of soothing color throughout the summer until frost.

Growing 36 inches tall but just 18-24 inches wide, these gorgeous plants light up your sunny summer garden beds and container gardens! Canna Lilies are iconic patio and poolside plants, giving any area a fast-growing, exotic flair!

Canna Lilies are fantastic summer-blooming exotic perennials with rhizomes that thrive all year in frost-free growing zones of 9 and up. But all growing zones can enjoy these plants as seasonal summer accents, or dig up and store the bulbs as one would Elephant Ears, Dahlia, and Caladiums for the winter!

Planting and Application:

Create instant impact with rows or clusters of these plants among your perennial and Pollinator gardens. Add Angel Martin to Cottage and cutting beds and borders get dramatic color uplifts while your home's foundation plantings get season-long greenery as facer plants and colorful focal points.

Angel Martin Canna Lily is a gorgeous specimen in both front foundation hedges, front entry plantings, and front porch urns and large pots! Your home will be set apart by their burst of showy color and exotic presence each summer! Heads will turn and traffic will slow down with these incredible plants used in a front berm, or as a seasonal hedge and backdrop!

Angel Martin Canna works in large pots, planters and even balcony and container gardens! Mix among other annuals, perennials or tropical plants for fast filling color and greenery, extending your season of bloom and accenting other plants beautifully. The dark foliage is sure to attract all the attention with barely any work on your part!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Keep these full-sun plants in moderately moist to almost wet enriched soil, that is always well-drained so they do not rot. It is also a good idea to ensure that Canna has a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch over the surface, especially in drier, hotter areas. Provide regular fertilizer and deadhead when blooming is done. Canna are spring-planted summer-flowering rhizomes, and are not frost-hardy, so they do need to be dug in the fall before they freeze. Keep them in a cool, dark, frost-free area in a bag in a garage or shed.
