Long-lasting, deep violet-lilac purple blooms, POEM™ Lilac Wallflower (Erysimum x 'Lilac') are fragrant blooms that fill your spring and summer, and maybe even autumn with lush blossoms! Pollinators will stop by for a visit frequently because of the long bloom time and generous nectar!
The dark green foliage forms rounded mounds of about 16-18 inches tall and wide, forming tidy bundles of verdant greenery until frost or beyond in mild winters! Unlike some Wallflower, POEM™ is drought tolerant and loves the sun!
POEM™ Lilac is hardy USDA zones 6-9 and can handle hot sunny and dry sites. Once established these are Xeric perennials and both deer and rabbit resistant. Keep them deadheaded for reblooms until frost!
Planting and Application:
Lovely in cottage gardens and perennial borders, pollinator gardens and cut flower beds benefit bees and butterflies and your indoor vases and bouquets! For long-lasting color anywhere that won't take up much room, Wallflowers are ideal wildflowers that are neat and tidy enough for both front and back yard landscaping!
POEM™ Lilac Wallflowers are wonderfully sized for porch planters and patio containers, both as a specimen planting of vivid color or as a filler and color in mixed pots! Add to hot, dry beds and borders along sidewalks, pathways and roadside where the dry, hot sun won't bother them as much as it might other Wallflowers.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Erysimum are very tolerant and adaptable, preferring full sun and part shade and well-drained soils best. Provide moderately moist, well-drained soil and mulch well to help keep the roots cool and hold moisture. Once established, POEM™ is Xeric and handles some drought! Cut back in early spring before they begin to grow in early spring and deadhead to encourage new blooms!
