Planting Tips
Light: Prefers full sun to partial shade (at least 4 hours of direct sunlight daily).
Soil: Thrives in well-drained soil; amend heavy clay or sandy soil for best results.
Spacing: For a dense hedge, plant 2 feet apart on center; for accents, allow 3–4 feet.
Care Instructions
Watering: Maintain consistent moisture, especially during establishment. Mulch helps retain soil moisture and regulate temperature. Water broadleaf evergreens very well before winter so their roots have plenty of moisture access.
Pruning: Trim lightly after the first flush of growth in late spring. Avoid late-season pruning to prevent frost damage.
Fertilizing: Apply a slow-release, balanced fertilizer in early spring for healthy growth.
Winter Protection: Water well before winter and consider mulching to protect roots in cold climates.
