This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Comparing the amazing Brentwood Australian Tree Fern should be the common name (Cyathea cooperi 'Brentwood') with a regular House Fern is like comparing a lion to a tabby cat! In its native habitat, the Australian Tree Fern can grow tall and looks far more like a tree than a Fern!
Forming enormous branches of ferny fronds that are divided into smaller, fine-cut fine-textured smaller fronds! The fuzzy brown new stems and new growth - which are like giant brown-flocked fiddleheads - emerge from the center crown of these large ornamentals! The trunks too are shaggy and brown, looking somewhat like Palm Trees.
The Brentwood Tree Fern is adaptable to many climates and if you live in USDA zones 9, 10, and 11, you just might see it reach its full potential. The rest of us can enjoy this primordial beauty best in a large container or planter in a greenhouse, or four-season sunroom! You will have the best luck growing them above freezing temperatures.
Planting and Application:
It is certainly a showpiece specimen for your shade garden, covered porch, or patio! In a sunroom or an atrium, the Australian Tree Fern will give heft and size! Create a dramatic conversation piece with a potted Tree Fern anywhere in your shade garden or protected locations around your home!
Combine the Australian Tree Fern in your summer garden with hardy Banana plants and Cannas for an instant tropical garden getaway. This is one of the fastest-growing Tree Ferns, so you'll have a showstopper pretty quickly!
Brentwood Australian Tree Ferns don't handle freezing temps well, so when the nights start getting too cold, it's time to bring your Fern indoors. They make fantastic houseplants as long as they have good humidity and bright indirect sun.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Hardy in USDA growing zones of 5 through 8, this perennial Fern can be evergreen in areas with mild winters. Growing 18-24 inches tall and wide, Tassel Ferns enjoys partial to full shade, with a preference for afternoon shade from the hot sun and full shade in hot climates. They will appreciate the drying power of the morning sun.
Choose a highly organically rich, moist, and fertile location in well-drained soil. Best in consistently moist soil, while establishing, and afterward water weekly to ensure lush, full growth. A generous layer of mulch helps retain soil moisture as well as insulate the root system from heat and chill.
Prune this Fern, or clean up dead debris or old fronds in early spring before the new fiddleheads unfurl. Otherwise, these are easily grown, low-maintenance plants that are deer, rabbit, pest, and disease-free! Divide every 3-5 years to keep the clumps growing vigorously.
- Grow in Sun to Shade & Bright Light Indoors
- Slightly Acidic Well-Drained Soil
- Consistently Moist Soil
- Evergreen in Mild Winters
- Easy Care & Low Maintenance - Deer, Rabbit & Pest Free
