Bayberries are hard-working, aromatic shrubs that are immensely beneficial Wildlife Shrubs! A dioecious shrub similar to Holly, these dioecious plants are either male or female separate plants. Tiny inconspicuous yellow-green flowers appear on the male plants, providing nectar for native pollinators. The female plants also have small flowers that develop into waxy white berries that provide winter interest and food for birds!
