Eureka! The gilded Strike It Rich® Grandiflora Rose Bush (Rosa 'WEKbepmey') is an upright and vigorous growing Rose with large, very double, golden-yellow flowers that are kissed with orange-pink highlights! It is strongly fragranced with spice and fruit and you'll enjoy long-stemmed bouquets full of this scent as it wafts from long, elegant buds!

The flowers are long-lived and retain their blend of gold, orange and red tones to the very end without fading in the sun. The dark green foliage and red stems make this variety stand out! This true Grandiflora bears long-stemmed flowers with unusual red stems. Long-lasting sparkling gold smothers the tall elegant plants. Bloom repeatedly, displaying showy clusters of blossoms! Generally full of clustered blossoms that open at once, a bit of deadheading will encourage rebloom until autumn!

Remarkably heat and cold-tolerant throughout USDA hardiness zones 5 to 10, this Grandiflora flowering shrub quickly grows to 5 -7 feet in height but only spreads 2-3 feet in width, making it a narrow, almost columnar form!

Planting and Application:

Great for your cutting garden and makes wonderful cut flowers for arrangements. A few blooms will fragrance a room easily! Set by your seating areas and around your patio so you and your guests can enjoy the wonderful fragrance! Add luxurious saturated color around poolside gardens, add warmth to your front foundation plantings, and add some glitz to the cottage border!

A beautiful specimen or focal point Rose because Strike It Rich® stands a head and shoulders taller than most Roses! Imagine this gold-smothered shrub highlighting a berm, hedge, or as a backdrop throughout any landscape in the sun garden!

Creating amazing screening and privacy, these thorned hedges are perfect between you and that nosy neighbor. Or just plant one as an anchor, softening the edges of your home's foundation or highlighting a garage corner all season! #ProPlantTips for Care:

This Rose was an AARS 2007 award winner! Hardy and disease resistant, cold, and heat tolerant, plant this Grandiflora in full sun for the most blooms, favoring the morning sun and in a location with good air circulation. Provide enriched, fertile, and well-drained soil with moderate, yet consistent moisture for the best results!

A generous layer of mulch is fantastic for keeping moisture in the soil level, so you water less! As well as insulating the root ball from heat and chill. Fertilize your Rose 2 - 3 times a year with Rose food and deadhead to keep the blooms popping! Prune in early spring, otherwise, this is a very low-maintenance shrub! Learn more about winterizing, and un-wintering your Roses in our Garden Blog, plus all the tips and tricks you need when pruning your new prized Rose bush!
