Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Perfume your garden with the Star Jasmine Vine (Trachelospermum jasminoides) and be transported to the Deep South where hospitality and sweet tea are in every garden.

The Star Jasmine vine is highly prized for its intoxicating scent! It has been used for generations as the base of many perfumes. The white flowers grow in clusters and are shaped like phlox flowers. They bloom on romantic twining stems in the spring and summer.

The tropical, glossy green foliage and winding vines are pretty on their own, filling out in lush groupings as ground cover, or winding their way up a trellis - both indoors and out! Snip a few tendrils to bring that luxurious fragrance indoors for your bouquets and floral designs.

Planting and Application:

Sometimes known as 'Star Jasmine' vine because it does so well in the southern states, you’ll enjoy this fast grower in any sunny location, whether in the yard or potted inside! Pot Jasmine in containers, especially if you are in a zone 8 or cooler climate to protect it from the winter chill.

Use Jasmine to frame porches, accent trellises, or as screening for fences or walls. It can also be used as a quick groundcover if you let it sprawl out, rather than train it up. Indoors it will happily spill over the edges of hanging baskets or climb up a small trellis. Don’t forget to add this scented beauty to your Moon Garden!

  • Amazing scented white blossoms
  • Easy to grow
  • Great scented climber or Star Jasmine ground cover
  • Great in containers and indoor houseplant
  • Spring flush of blooms and sporadic summer blossoming

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Star Jasmine loves the sun or partial shade and moist but well-drained soil. Bees and bunnies love this vine, so be aware of where you're planting it. Tolerant of a wide range of soil types, any well-drained soil is perfect.

  • Full sun or part shade, but fewer blooms in less sun
  • Hardy USDA zones 8-10 - cooler zones can bring potted plants indoors for winter, or use as annual
  • Moderate moisture, especially while young plants are establishing
  • Disease and pest resistant
  • Average soil fertility requirements

Spiraling white blossoms, incredible perfume and glossy winding foliage, you’ll adore this versatile vine! Trust us - once you inhale the scent of the Star Jasmine, you will be hooked for life! Order this and other scented vines for your garden today by heading over to NatureHills.com!
