Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Painterly Broadleaved Evergreen Adds Winter Interest

Nobody has ever described the Purple Wood Spurge (Euphorbia amygdaloides 'Purpurea') as "the same old, same old." This plant is definitely not a plain Jane. This plant offers any garden a plethora of colors and a striking structure.

The Purple Wood Spurge lives up to its namesake. Its stiff wine-colored stems are covered in reddish-purple and green leaves. These long, narrow leaves retain color in the wintertime, so your garden won't look gray and bare when other plants wither. Even when not in bloom, these dramatic leaves will fill your garden with unmatched hues and excitement. And the leathery nature of these leaves also creates textural contrast in your garden.

The flowers range from chartreuse yellow to bright green. When late spring arrives, you'll surely become enamored with these clustering blossoms. You’ll love the pop of delicious, sophisticated color.

If you want your Purple Wood Spurge to produce the maximum amount of buds and blossoms, make sure you plant it in full sun to bring out the purples and reds in the leaves during the fall and encourage it to produce its spectacular flowers.

Plant this perennial broadleaved evergreen in well-drained medium moisture soil and water it regularly. It would make a great addition to a rock garden or as an edging plant on your garden border. You can even create a visual feast by edging a path with these enchanting plants.

This painter's delight will add excitement to your landscape. Order this knockout today!
