Try a miraculous First Editions® Vanilla Strawberry™ Panicle Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Renhy' PP20,670) in your landscape. You'll be so pleased with its playful, strawberry-pink blooms and graceful nature. You'll want more than one!

These First Editions® plants are nothing short of spectacular. The show begins in spring with green leaves filling out the stems that later turn a lovely red shade. Mid to late summer brings on a fabulous display of full blooms.

Watch as your flowers do a color change during the season for you. The large panicles - comprised of densely-clustered, tiny flowers - begin creamy white in mid-summer and slowly turn pink.

The white flowers pick up pink color as the blooms age, and it is intensified with cooler nights and warm days in sunnier locations. As summer progresses, you'll be treated to a mixture of floral colors on the same plant as white turns to white with pink centers, to deeper strawberry red. Fantastic!

Cut some of the stunning Strawberry Vanilla Hydrangea blooms to enjoy indoors, or leave on your plant for winter. The flowers will cling to the stems in early fall (drying to a pale, silvery tan), and persist as a decorative feature through the winter months.

Vanilla Strawberry Panicle Hydrangea was named the top plant by the American Nursery and Landscape Association. A relative of the classic PeeGee Hydrangea, Vanilla Strawberry has improved features that make it a must-have for your garden.

You'll also be popular with hummingbirds and butterflies that contribute to the beauty of your yard.

It has strong, sturdy upright stems that won't droop under the weight of its impressive blooms. And its rich, green foliage creates the perfect backdrop for its summertime display of blooms.

Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea is a memorable addition to your yard. Order yours today!

How to Use Vanilla Strawberry Panicle Hydrangea in the Landscape

These amazing ombré blooms are sure to inspire you and your neighbors to spend a little more time outdoors. Consider planting a hedge of several of them right behind your patio seating.

To create a solid screen, plant them 3 feet apart on center. Measure from the center of one to the center of the next.

You will want to plant it where you can admire it all summer long. Add it to your mixed borders, or use it as a thriller in a large container.

Place a Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea by itself anywhere in your yard for an eye-catching specimen plant. Run them along the length of your driveway, side yard or pool deck.

These Panicle Hydrangeas look lovely in an urn or as a centerpiece addition either in the landscape or indoors as cut flowers! Later, dry the flower heads and use them in dried botanical décor.

It looks simply astonishing as a modern-day foundation plant. Use it at the corner of your house to anchor your plantings, alone or with other flowering shrubs in a mixed border. Or, try a pair of them, with one planted on either side of your front entrance. Can you say curb appeal?

For an incredible focal point, alternate these Vanilla Strawberry shrubs with our Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea Tree Form. Use an odd number of plants for the best look. Underplant or skirt the base with perennials for living mulch and added flower color.

Create your own Hydrangea collection or mixed Hydrangea border and include mophead Annabelle Hydrangeas, or a bold Endless Summer Original bigleaf Hydrangeas. Toss in a few lacecap and other Panicle Hydrangeas for a high-impact display!

Start and end with the shrubs on either side. Curve the line, or keep it straight. This high-impact look will bring you a jillion compliments over the years. Enjoy!

#ProPlantTips for Care

Plant in full sun in the northern USDA growing Zones, or give it partial shade, especially afternoon shade in the warmer summers of hardiness Zones 7 and 8.

Hydrangea bushes love well-drained soils that are rich in organic matter, so include a top-dressing of compost each year. Mulch over the root system to keep them nice and moist. Provide a moderate amount of water on a regular basis.

This Hydrangea variety blooms on new wood. Enjoy the best and most abundant blooms with a one-and-done pruning in late winter or early spring. Prune it back by a third into a rounded shape in early spring just as you see buds swell and new growth forming.

Don't miss out on the amazing color and blooms offered by Vanilla Strawberry Panicle Hydrangea. You'll love it in all seasons, year in and year out. Order from the expert growers at Nature Hills today!
