To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

Pretty leaves or pretty flowers. Sometimes you have to choose. But not this time. Suzanne Weigela (Weigela florida 'Suzanne') happily gives you both! Beautiful long before she blooms, her variegated foliage is cool green, edged in a dainty line of creamy white! These lovely leaves cover the plant from spring to fall!
Then in the late spring or early summer, Suzanne is covered in both pink and white trumpet-like flowers on the same plant! Suzanne attracts jeweled Hummingbirds, buzzing bees, and swarms of butterflies to sip the nectar! Even a few branches add their delight to your bouquets. Don't worry about depriving pollinators, because you'll enjoy a rebloom later in the season!
Suzanne will only grow 4 feet tall and wide, so she is compact enough that she rarely needs any pruning! Forming colorful variegated mounds or arching foliage, these deciduous shrubs are cold-hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 8, are adaptable, and are easy to grow!

Suzanne Weigela shrubs love the sun and for best leaf and flower color and overall performance, you'll want to plant her in a sunny spot. Make sure that you water her regularly in the hottest parts of the summer, though. If she's not happy, then her wilt will show it. A generous layer of mulch helps retain soil moisture in the ground as well as insulates the root system from heat and chill. Prune after the flowers fade if Suzanne begins to look a little unkempt. Weigela does benefit from a renewal pruning every 3-5 years.
