Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 3-7
Introducing a lovely Bush Clematis by Proven Winners® for gardeners who want lavender bells in their garden without the need for a trellis! The Stand by Me Lavender Clematis PP30556 (Clematis x 'Stand by Me Lavender') is a non-vining Clematis that creates upright to mounding clumps of pretty bronzed Clematis greenery that are bedecked in downward-facing light and dark striped lavender blooms!
Resembling little fairy hats, each petite blossom stands out with pale yellow stamen in their centers, but flowers in such profusion that your plant will be smothered with their dainty four-petalled stars!
Hardy throughout USDA planting zones 3-7, your Lavender Bush Clematis will be frequented by winged visitors ranging from bees to butterflies, to the odd Hummingbird arriving to check out the early spring to late spring bloom. They'll be back for more when the mid-summer rebloom arrives on the scene!
Planting and Application:
This hybrid Clematis is an herbaceous perennial that appreciates a stake or cage depending on how upright you desire your plant to appear. Both as a sprawling groundcover, or upright accent, the effect is still just as eye-catching! Both as a 2-3 foot tall focal point or a 2-3 foot wide groundcover, the repeat blooms and pretty foliage act as lovely living mulch and garden accents!
Bush Clematis can be used as an accent or filler in Pollinator gardens, perennial borders, Cottage Gardens, Rock Gardens, and throughout the understory shade garden! An ideal facer plant, flowering edging, or border plant along your pathways and driveway, these are easy and reliable garden specimens!
Container gardens and mixed planters gain spring to summer lavender blooms, and bronzy green filler all growing season. Even your cut flower gardens will provide you with fanciful stems to accent your bouquets indoors!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Clematis are best grown in full sun or light shade, keep the base and roots completely shaded with a 3-4 inch deep layer of arborist mulch. Growing in about any kind of well-drained, slightly alkaline soil that has regular moisture access, Bush Clematis grow fast from the crowns each spring. This bush-type Clematis will not need any pruning during the growing season and should keep flowering reliably all spring and summer. You will want to trim all of the stems down to 3-4 inches each year in early spring just before it starts to grow much like you handle your other perennials, and all new growth will sprout and flower each year. Every 3-5 years, divide your clumps in the very early spring or late autumn.
- Full Sun (Cooler Climates) & Part Shade (Warmer Climates)
- Rich Slightly Alkaline to Average Well-Drained Soil
- Moderate Regular Moisture Needs
- Appreciates Mulched Beds & Support For Upright Growth
- Prune Down Very Early Spring
