This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.
Standard Shipping Rates
At Nature Hills we handle, package and ship the products you order with the utmost care to ensure healthy delivery. Shipping and handling charges are calculated based on the tables below. Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Growing Zones
Soft pink and cream ruffled and frilly romantic blooms, the Sorbet Peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Sorbet') is a bi-color beauty that looks more like a strawberry macaroon with a cream-filled center! These blooms have three layers - big pink ruffled lower petals, a ring of frilly creamy white, and then a crown of more large pink ruffle petals!
These incredibly scented fluffy spring blooms bring in the butterflies and Sorbet always looks fantastic in a bouquet where they will perfume an entire room! Backed by a dramatic green backdrop of showy green leaves that look great all spring, summer, and autumn!
Peony tubers are extremely long-lived and cold-hardy throughout USDA planting zones 3 to 8, and can grow into showy mounds 2-3 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide! Putting on a grand display all spring and beyond!
Landscape Application:
The Sorbet Peony is fantastic along paths, walkways, and as border plants. The neat and tidy mounds require very little maintenance. These gorgeous specimens and their eye-catching form are a must-have for the Cottage garden, Cutting garden, and Pollinator border! Ring your mailbox, flagpole, or a special statue or urn with lush blooms!
Try planting multiple Sorbet Peonies as a short hedge or along a border near your outdoor living space, so you can truly appreciate their amazing color, form, and fragrance. The mounds of green foliage make these perennials ideal facer plants to hide the bare leggy stems of larger shrubs and hedges.
- Fluffy White Petals Sandwiched Between Voluminous Pink Petals

- Showy Blooms For Bouquets
- Pollinator Friendly
- Gorgeous Perennial Borders, Groupings, Specimens & Garden Favorites
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Peonies thrive in the full sun but tolerate a touch of part shade in hotter growing zones, however, you'll notice fewer blossoms. Plant in soil that has excellent drainage and moderate moisture and is mulched well throughout the year. Deadhead once the flowers fade but keep the foliage up to make food for the tubers. In the fall, trim back the stems and remove them entirely from the area.
- Full Sun & Part Shade
- Very Well-Drained Soil
- Moderate To Low Moisture Needs
- Disease Resistant & Deer-Resistant
- Deadhead After Bloom & Prune to the Ground After Frost
