Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Looking for something hot, hot, hot for your perennial beds and borders? A little tropical color to boost your border from 'Ho-hum' to 'WOW!'? If so, then it's time to plant some Sombrero® Hot Coral Coneflowers (Echinacea x 'Balsomcor') These coral-pink versions of the native Echinacea are reliable bloomers that will fill your flower beds every year from mid-summer until the first frost with hot, tropical color!
Don't let the compact size fool you, though, because Hot Coral covers itself in flushes of coral-pink daisy-like flowers with high, spikey, bronze-colored central cones through the season. It is well-branched, space-saving, and densely growing, so Hot Coral will fit into any sized garden or container in the sun!
You can keep cutting the flowers for bouquets and they will keep coming all summer and fall filling your vases. Leave some on for the winter, though, because birds love the high central cones and will enjoy picking at the dried flowers all winter. Hardy throughout USDA planting zones 4 to 9 and stays a nice and tidy 1-2 feet tall and wide mound!
Planting and Application:
Hot Coral will bring hot color to both modern landscapes and informal natural meadows! These are must-have perennials for butterfly or Pollinator gardens, and wildlife gardens! Urban courtyards gain modern fresh color, and mixed Perennial Borders, are wonderful Cut Flowers, and Cottage gardens get a vivid boost. Try pairing with hot pinks, deep yellows, and fiery reds in an upscale Courtyard.
Sombrero® Coneflower is compact enough for vibrant patio container accents and thrillers! Add some spice to porch pots around the pool, or any sunny area where you need a splash of color!
Not only will butterflies and other pollinators frequent your yard in the summer, but the birds will love you too in the fall. Leave some flowers to dry in the fall, and your songbirds will flock to the tasty seeds for winter sustenance. Even though many creatures love it, deer will leave it alone.
Inject some fire into the Rock Garden, firewise landscaping, and in some more harsh locations like the hell strip along a garden pathway, sidewalk, driveway, or en masse throughout commercial sites in the sun!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
The Sombrero® series of Coneflowers are easy-to-grow herbaceous perennials! Echinacea needs to be planted in full sun and average soil, but once it is established it will reward you with eye-catching blooms all season. Provide moderate water until they're established, then after that Coneflowers are very drought tolerant! Any type of well-drained soil works and they appreciate being planted with Nature Hills Root Booster and access to yearly fertility to keep the blooms popping!
Deadhead to encourage rebloom and branching then prune to the ground in the Fall. Divide clumps when they become overcrowded, about every 3-4 years, and enjoy doubling your plants for you or a friend! Drought-resistant once established, all plants can be kept stress-free with a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch.
