Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.
Standard Shipping Rates
At Nature Hills we handle, package and ship the products you order with the utmost care to ensure healthy delivery. Shipping and handling charges are calculated based on the tables below. Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes

Foliage plants are the mainstay of a low-maintenance landscape. You'll get a long-lasting display that works hard to create a personal paradise.
Brighten the low ground with the huge leaves of Silver Heart Brunnera (Brunnera macrophylla ‘Silver Heart’ PP# 24685). Their generous charm adds texture and color to your partially shaded or fully shaded landscape.
You won't believe the visual impact of the showy green veins. The look is only accentuated by an effective, interveinal silvery-white overlay.
Each heart-shaped leaf is further polished with a band of green at the margin. They'll softly spread wide to ornament otherwise bare ground under trees and shrubs.
But with beloved Brunnera, it's not just about the beautiful rosette of leaves. Each spring, you'll also enjoy fine-textured blue Forget-Me-Not flowers held high for easy viewing.
Butterflies and honey bees appreciate their nectar. You'll want to grow plenty, so you can trim them for delicate cut flower bouquets indoors.
Relax and let the cares of the world fall away as you tour your woodlands and shady glens. Boost your mature trees and tall shrubs with the good looks of Silver Heart Brunnera.
This improved modern cultivar offers exceptional high performance, as well. Thicker, more pubescent leaves stand up to heat and humidity...without "melting" away in the dog days of summer!
Don't go another season without this beautiful layer in your shaded spots. Order Silver Heart Brunnera today!
How to Use Silver Heart Brunnera in the Landscape
Shed light on your existing plantings with specimens tucked here and there along the edges of dappled planting beds. Try nestling one at the base of a special boulder or garden sculpture.
Use them in a curated collection of wild foliage with several Brunnera cultivars. Call them Forget-Me-Nots or Siberian Bugloss, if you prefer.
Or...take things to the next level with a full mass planting of Silver Heart Brunnera as a living carpet of silvery color. Rely on durable Silver Heart Brunnera as a showy groundcover.
Plant them ten inches apart on center, measuring from the center of one to the center of the next. For faster results, create a double staggered row in a zigzagging planting pattern.
Mulch between plants and keep new mass plantings weeded. The plants will grow together and touch.
Include these under moisture-loving Swamp Oak at the edge of planned Rain Gardens. They'll help control erosion, while filtering potentially polluted runoff from streets and roofs.
Even in small space gardens, you can appreciate their glow in the moonlight. Keep them in outdoor container gardens as a beautiful "Filler".
Can you imagine the look of delight on a loved one? Create a planted container garden with the exquisite Silver Heart Brunnera on full display. They'll make charming gifts!
#ProPlantTips for Care
This low light plant requires less than four hours of direct sunlight a day. Add mulch over their roots and supply consistent moisture for best results.
Although they like moist conditions, they will not tolerate standing water. Rich, well-drained soil is best.
Deadhead the spent blooms after flowering for a tidy look. Trim back last year's foliage in early spring, and apply a slow-release fertilizer for flowering plants at that time.
You'll cherish the metallic good looks of easy-care Silver Heart Brunnera. Repeat them in an ample planting to make the most of your shade. Order today!
