The Japanese-type Satsuma Plum Tree (Prunus salicina 'Satsuma') is a fantastic Plum for warmer climates and areas with mild winters. Starting as a cloud of white, fragrant blossoms and quickly transforming into delectable rosy-plum skinned fruit that is bursting with sweet red flesh!

Satsuma does need a pollinating partner so pair it with another Japanese Plum like Santa Rosa for a larger and extended harvest! You'll enjoy double the flowering accents in your yard and all the fruit you can eat right off the tree, plus more for canning, baking and cooking.

Plum Trees are lovely ornamental flowering trees and the rosy purple gems that form in late summer just add to the delight! A mid-sized tree that casts great shade and has a beautiful form among your gardens, can be pruned smaller yet as needed. You'll receive your tree with its lower limbs intact should you wish to keep them small for easy harvest, and for maximum screening and privacy potential!
