Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Need an explosion of color for your planters and garden beds, but one that won't take up a lot of space? Look no further than the tropical Reine Charlotte Canna Lily (Canna 'Reine Charlotte') which is an eye-popping burst of vivid red and yellow color! The shockingly red centers of these big blooms transition to vivid yellow petals. Multiple spikes of long-lasting blooms stand atop sturdy stems for a grand display!
The large foliage is delightfully pointed and bright green, each large leaf unfurling from the center in a lovely spiral. Accenting the red pointed buds that burst open into vivid two-tone blooms that the pollinators go crazy for! You will even enjoy a hummingbird or two stopping by to sip the nectar!
These smaller-sized Canna Lilies grow from fibrous rhizomes and quickly display those incredibly flamboyant blooms! They flower all summer, requiring only a bit of deadheading to keep more blooms returning. Hardy outdoors year-round in USDA growing zones 8 through 11 but can be enjoyed as either annual accents in all growing zones. Canna can also be lifted and stored for the winter in a frost-free location in all northern climates.
Planting and Application:
These smaller, yet just as vertically-growing, pops of color are perfect for adding intense garden accenting to any location in the sun! Enliven a front porch step or either side of your front door in pots, you will gain fantastic curb appeal in a hurry! The shockingly bright blooms pop around a poolside garden! Mixed planters and balcony pots gain a tall shock of color.
Combine with other exotic plants or summer flowering bulbs. Any sunny location gains a specimen focal point, groupings, annual accents, or en masse spectacle! You'll gain a front yard planting that will slow traffic and a backyard spectacle that will start conversations for sure!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
These full-sun and part-shade, rhizomatic plants do best in moderately moist to almost wet enriched soil, which should always well-drained. It is also a good idea to ensure that Canna has a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch over the surface. Provide regular fertilizer and deadhead when blooming is done. Canna rhizomes are not frost-hardy and do need to be dug in the fall before they freeze. Keep them in a cool, frost-free area in a bag in a garage or shed.
