Red Roses are an enduring symbol of true love! But let's face it. A lot of the classic Roses, the Hybrid Teas, need tender loving care to perform up to their amazing potential. Not everyone has that kind of time on their hands!

Introducing the Red Ribbons® (Rosa 'KORtemma') Groundcover Rose is for you. You'll love the reliable bright red double blooms displayed against super glossy green leaves. This is well-known as a consistent selection in all climates throughout the chilliest of USDA growing zones 3 through warm zone 9.

Fantastically resistant and easy to care for, these shrubs only grow about 2 feet in height but spread to an impressive 5-7 feet in width! The ultimate red Rose and the ultimate groundcover Rose! You'll gain carpets of red that act as living mulch for large swaths of beauty!

Planting and Application:

Use Red Ribbons® everywhere in your sunny landscape! It would look magnificent against gray, brown or stone-clad exteriors! Add spreading red blooms to fill wide swaths of ground with greenery. Edge your front walk for a huge boost of curb appeal!

Use this in containers as a spiller and the thriller planting by mixing with a Tree Rose, a fountain of Ornamental Grasses, or with a columnar Evergreen for easy care and wonderful porch or patio features! No matter where you use this spreading Rose, you'll have inquisitive bees and butterflies flocking to the area, and the wide-spreading Groundcover Rose blooms will give them plenty of room to roam!

Perfect for using en masse, plant Red Ribbons® in a row or alternating zigzag every 3-5 feet on center to fill large areas with color! Fight water runoff and soil erosion, and save you from having to mow a steep hillside or slope! A few Red Ribbons® would look fantastic spilling over a retaining wall top with elegant greenery and blooms!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Plant Roses in full sun for the most blooms, but these also bloom wonderfully in partial shade. This Groundcover Rose is very low maintenance and disease-resistant! It will tolerate a wide range of soils and climates. Provide moderate and consistent moisture throughout the growing season and regular fertilizer. They are drought-tolerant when established but can also withstand moist soils, as long as the drainage is good.

Deadheading encourages re-blooming. Fertilize with Dr. Earth's Life Organic and Natural All-Purpose Fertilizer in the spring. Wait until early spring to prune back last year's growth down to 12 inches. Remove any broken, crossing, or winter-damaged branches. Rose Bush FAQs

Where Is The Best Place To Plant Rose Bushes?

Rose Bushes need a protected location with access to full sun and the drying power of the morning sun. They flower best in at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Choose a location in good, enriched soil that drains well and has good air circulation.

What Is The Best Month to Plant Roses?

You can plant Roses any time if you are able to provide enough consistent moisture and attention. While there is not a specific month that is best, generally because it changes with temperatures, climate and growing zone. However, the easiest times of the year to get Rose bushes established in your landscape are in spring after the last frost date, and in fall about 4-6 weeks before the first frost.

Do Roses Come Back Every Year?

Rose bushes are deciduous woody perennial shrubs and will return bigger and better each year.
