#ProPlantTips for Care:

The Red Double Knock Out® Rose is best known for its drought tolerance and high resistance to blackspot and downy mildew! Just be sure to plant them in an area with good air circulation. Provide a full sun location and plant in well-drained soil that’s organically enriched and mulched well. The more sun, the more flowers! Plant in well-drained soil that won't stay wet for long after a rain. If you see puddles that remain, you'll want to create a raised planting bed. For truly soggy soil, plant them in containers or create a berm.

Be sure to include a packet of Nature Hills Root Booster when planting. You'll love the boost in performance when you get your Roses off to the best start. Follow the directions on the package. Apply 3 - 4 inches of arborist mulch to cover the root system. Apply a slow-release fertilizer for Roses in early spring and again in mid-summer, following the directions on the label.

Although they are often listed as drought tolerant, Nature Hills recommends that you provide Knock Out® Roses with a medium amount of water on a regular basis. You'll be so pleased with how quickly they perk right up. For best results, water these regularly, or add a drip irrigation system beneath the mulch to make it easier for you.

Knock Out® Roses self-cleaning, so there is no need to deadhead spent blooms. What could be easier? These plants will stay smaller in the colder USDA Growing Zones, but if you wish to give them a trim, pruning is best done in early spring if needed. Wear gloves to protect your hands.
