Introduced during the Great Depression, this mid-season producer is a delicious alternative to the boring yellow peach, so you might want to try biting into one and see what you're missing! Such high-quality, excellent flavor as this will have you wanting more!

Spring brings an explosion of fragrant pink blossoms! Calling hordes of pollinators and hummingbirds to your yard. Like other peaches, this variety self-pollinates, and these bees and butterflies happily pollinate without the help of another tree!

With medium-large round fruit on a vigorous and productive tree, the yellow skin is delightfully fuzzy with splashes of red. The white flesh is sometimes streaked with flecks of orangy-red. The flesh is candy-sweet, juicy and firm!

How to Use Raritan Rose Peach Tree In The Landscape

A lovely ornamental tree in its own right, this great-shaped specimen has wonderful late spring blossoms! Perfect for areas where a late frost can ruin your bloom set and reduce your summer crop of fruit.

Fragrant blooms smother this tree so why not lay a blanket beneath the blossoms and watch the bees go about their busy work.

The long, narrow and pointed leaves have a slight ripple, making the summer form a gorgeous addition to the landscape! The fantastic shade provided by the vibrant green foliage is perfect for shading your seating areas, patio and garden beds. Be sure to plant one outside a window or set a lawn chair beneath the limbs to observe your harvest ripening.

A fantastic specimen tree or anchor for your side yard gardens, and of course, any home orchard should have a Peach Tree too! Prune small as you need, plus so you can easily reach your juicy harvest!

The fruit is perfect for fresh eating, without any acidic or tartness, the super-sweet white flesh is delectable! Don’t worry if your tree is producing more than you, your friends and neighbors can eat, these fruits are fantastic for sauces, jams, jellies and summer peach pie!

#ProPlantTips For Care

While the Raritan Rose Peach does its best in colder climates, it does not like extremely cold winters and needs hot summer weather to bring out the best in its fruit. Winter hardy in USDA growing zones 4 through 8, plant your fruit tree in a site with full sun access.

All fruit trees require full sun for optimal growth and harvest, plant your Polly White Peach in at least 6 hours of sunlight per day.

The tree itself is smaller than other varieties, but it’s adaptable, vigorous and leaf spot resistant.

Widely adaptable to all types of soil conditions, the best type is fertile, well-drained soil. Adding organic material, compost, peat moss and manure when planting will set the stage for a healthy tree for years to come!

A generous layer of mulch helps retain soil moisture as well as insulate the root system from heat and chill.

Provide ample water and keep consistently watered during times of drought and when the tree is fruiting. For best results, fertilize your tree regularly with Dr. Earth Fruit Tree Fertilizer or a good organic, slow-release fertilizer. Add Nature Hills Root Booster while planting for a life-long symbiotic relationship with the tiny feeder roots.

Prune in summer to control the size, remove suckers and water growth, but prune in winter to open the canopy to sunlight and air circulation, and to remove damaged, dead or diseased branching. Head over to our Garden Blog for more tips and tricks for caring for your Peach tree!

So if you want to try something that is a little off the beaten path, buy a couple of Raritan Rose Peach trees and enjoy their delicious sweet white fruit, straight from the tree to your mouth.
