Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age

Looking for a gorgeous, mid-sized shrub that delivers big on flower power? Love Hydrangeas, but want to see some action a bit sooner in the season? Quick Fire® Panicle Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Bulk') features magnificent blossoms up to a month earlier than other paniculata varieties.
No need to wait patiently for your Hydrangeas to bloom with this variety. Quick Fire® Panicle Hydrangea blooms really early, just in time for those fun summertime celebrations.
The lacecap flowers open snowy white, then develop a pink tinge, before finally deepening to a knockout deep rose-pink hue all while extending into tall panicles. You’ll make a big statement with these incredible plants.
Use the blooms in amazing cut flower arrangements. They are so big, it only takes 1 or 2 in a special vase to look like you paid a fortune for them.
The stems of this deciduous shrub are quite sturdy. Don’t worry, they are more than up to the challenge of holding up the blossoms. Quick Fire® won’t flip or flop on you.
Even the highly textured foliage is attractive. Go ahead, look a little closer! Each leaf looks quilted and features red stems, which adds dramatic flair. You’ll want to be sure and add them to your flower arrangements.
Quick Fire® is a special Panicle Hydrangea for another important reason. In years where the fall weather comes on slowly, you’ll enjoy excellent fall color. The beautiful blooms burnish to deep red, and the textured leaves turn gold and burgundy.
Allow several of the airy flowers - which are borne in panicles on the tips of every branch - to dry on the shrub to decorate your landscape all winter long. (Ok, ok, snip a few more for your seasonal Thanksgiving arrangements.…)
Early blooming Quick Fire® Hydrangea is an easy choice for the home gardener. It’s a field-tested Proven Winner, after all. And our expert growers take great pride in delivering top-notch quality plant materials right to your doorstep. What could be easier?

How to Use Quick Fire® Panicle Hydrangea in the Landscape
Savvy homeowners and commercial property owners should take advantage of the very early bloom season of Quick Fire®. It draws the eye like no other plant, after all.
Create a gorgeous flowering hedge with several Quick Fire®, planted 3 to 5 feet apart on center. Measure from the center of one to the center of the next.
If you want a solid screen, plant them close together and keep them clipped in bounds. For a looser look, expand to 5 feet apart and let them grow out into their full, natural, “chunky” flowering glory.
Create a mass planting to really capture attention. Add multiple, zigzagging, staggered rows to your planting pattern. It will become a showy focal point, turning a bare eyesore into a magnificent display.
Add to large containers along the length of your patio or pool deck. Or use a pair, with one placed on either side of your front door.
Quick Fire® can also be used as a showy screening plant, planted in front of evergreens, and even mixed in windbreaks and shelterbelts for interest. Use a single specimen at the corner of your house to easily anchor your foundation planting.
You’ll love the easy-care, four-season appeal of this wonderful shrub. Just don’t be surprised to have people slow down and stare as they drive past your property!
Smile, wave, and be house proud. You and your Quick Fire® deserve the accolades!
#ProPlantTips for Care
For best blooming, give this plant full sun. In the warmest USDA Hardiness Zones, give a bit of afternoon shade for a part sun planting position.
This Panicle Hydrangea loves well-drained soil. Mound up by adding additional soil 18 inches high by 3 feet wide to plant in, if your soil holds water.
They will appreciate a moderate amount of water on a regular basis, especially during spring growing season. Even moisture during flower development provides the largest bloom development.
Please provide water during drought periods to keep them stress-free. A healthy plant easily shakes off pests and diseases.
Because Quick Fire® blooms on new wood, you’ll want to avoid late spring pruning. Don’t wait, or you’ll trim off this year’s blooms!
You’ll only need a single prune in late winter or early spring. Selectively remove the stem length by about a third to remove last year’s blooms. Cut back to a healthy, thick bud. Thin out any spindly, old, broken or weak branches at the same time.
There is no need to mess with soil alkalinity or acidity. This plant's flower color cannot be altered by changing the soil pH.
Quick Fire® Panicle Hydrangea is very hardy. It’s often thought of as one of the easiest Hydrangea varieties to grow. Whew! What a great choice, order yours today!
