Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

#ProPlantTips for Care
Panicle Hydrangea tolerates partial shade in hotter climates but really loves plenty of sunlight to grow. Full sun means more flowers and works great for Hydrangea in cooler growing zones. In the hottest areas, give this variety some afternoon shade.
It will adapt to just about any soil type, as long as it drains well. If you have ground that stays soggy after a rain, you may have poorly drained soils. Pinky Winky® prefers good, loamy soil, but is adaptable to many soils, and moderate moisture is required.
Create a raised mound of soil about 18 inches above your native soil to improve your drainage. You'll plant directly into that mound. Add a landscape edge to create a raised bed. Apply mulch to a depth of three inches over the entire root system, but pull it back at least a few inches from the main trunk. With Panicle Hydrangeas, there's never any need to worry about soil pH either!
Provide an even amount of water regularly, appreciating drip irrigation or soaker hoses to help keep the roots cool and moist. This is especially important while the tree is young, during flower production, and for plants kept in containers.
Easy to care for, this Hydrangea blooms on new wood so it can be pruned in the fall or early spring. Grab a pair of shears and reduce the overall size to a two to three-foot sphere. If you have a larger tree, you can always reduce it to a three to four-foot sphere to keep a bit of height. Just make sure it's done before the growing begins. That way you won't damage any of the coming flower power!
Leave last year's flower heads up for winter interest, then prune them only after the new growth has started to expand in the early spring.
- Prefers Partial Shade/Afternoon Shade
- Regular Moderate Moisture Needs
- Well-Drained Soil - No pH Requirements
- Appreciates Mulched Beds
