This remarkable Phlox variety features a dwarf nature with delicious color and a scintillating fragrance that drifts on the afternoon breeze like no other! Like the peppermint candy of its namesake, the Peppermint Twist Phlox (Phlox paniculata 'Peppermint Twist') offers up delicate blooms that feature pink and white stripes from July into September.

White stripes on each pinwheel-like blossom emanate out from a pink center, creating an eye-catching visual that is impressive in its own right. However, gathered together in large clusters against the deep green foliage, Peppermint Twist's flowers are nothing short of magnificent. Local pollinators and butterflies will heartily agree!

With a shorter and stockier nature than other perennial Tall Garden Phlox varieties, Peppermint Twist can more easily stand up to harsh weather conditions throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 8, and its strong stems do a great job of holding its clustered, flower heads aloft!

Planting and Application:

Plant several Peppermint Twist for an impressive border, or scatter a few around high-traffic areas like patios and poolside! Container gardens, pollinator borders, and perennial beds are perfect for these flouncy blossoms! Must haves for Cottage and Cut Flower gardens, Tall Garden Phlox has stood the test of time in gardens for hundreds of years!

Peppermint Twist Phlox will provide a delectable color for your yard this year on a plant with a hardy, carefree nature. It's the type of perennial that seems to jump out at you in the summer garden. The candy-striped blooms create an impression wherever they're placed.

Phlox plants are drought-tolerant, therefore suitable for Xeriscaping, in Rock Gardens, and are recommended for Fire-Wise landscaping! This Phlox can be planted as a border along a hot and sunny pathway, or as edging plants! The great thing about Tall Garden Phlox is that it mixes well with other perennials and provides a summer of blooms. If you like to encourage birds to come to your yard, Phlox attracts Hummingbirds and is a good selection for inclusion in a bird garden!

  • Clusters of Pink Blooms With White Stripes
  • Dark Green Foliage & Strong Stems
  • Attracts Hummingbirds & Butterflies!
  • Fragrant Blooms For Bouquets
  • Compact, Creeping Groundcover, Shades Out Weeds & Containers

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Your Peppermint Twist Dwarf Garden Phlox is a herbaceous perennial with an upright form and low-maintenance nature! Blooming their best in full sun and even handle some partial shade. Loving regular to moderate moisture, Phlox is adaptable to a variety of well-drained soils. Provide a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch around the roots of your plants to help them combat the effect of drought.

Peppermint Twist maintains color throughout the season quite well on its own, but with a little deadheading, you're sure to enhance your blooms well into autumn. Once the frost kills back the foliage, trim your Phlox back to the ground in anticipation of new growth to begin anew in the spring.

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade
  • Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate Moisture Needs Once Established
  • Deadhead After Flowering & Prune in Late Autumn
  • Low-Maintenance & Adaptable

Why not plant your own Peppermint Twist Tall Garden Phlox this year and see for yourself how impressive this dwarf Phlox really is? Order today at Nature Hills!
