Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements

Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Paperwhites (Narcissus papyraceus) is a fall-planted bulb that flowers in the late winter or spring! The bright white color will add fragrance and cheer to the dull winter and complete any home décor. You will have the prettiest flower for the holidays!

It'll bloom in the early winter and act as the perfect holiday decoration and look great as a solo forced bulb and in groupings as an amazing centerpiece! These graceful trumpet-headed flowers aren't the prima donnas you'd expect and are easy to grow as winter-forced spring blooms!

In a few weeks, you'll not only have some of the prettiest flowers you can grow indoors but the unforgettable scent will fill your rooms for weeks! Paperwhites can grow outdoors in USDA growing zones 8-10, and the green foliage grows 12-18 inches in height, forming polite bunches.

Planting and Application:

Plant indoors and force your bulbs for winter fragrance and color in a bright, indirect sunlit location. Display in a tall cloche or grouped in a low urn of moss, or in a special vase made for forcing winter bulbs. They look lovely dressed down in terra cotta, or dressed up in a sleek glass minimalist vase.

Paperwhites are lovely on their own in groupings and bunches, both in the ground (in warm climates) and in containers outdoors (in cooler climates), and in small-space container gardens in the sun. Snip a few stems for your indoor vases and bouquets!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Bulbs require full sun outdoors, or bright indirect sunlight indoors. Plant in well-drained soil to do their best, and any soil type is suitable so long as it is not soggy. Add bulb fertilizer to each hole for best results and provide moderate moisture during drought. Deadhead after flowers fade but keep the leaves so they can make food for the bulb and next year's flowers! Its blooms endure through spring showers and days of sunshine.
